Beverley Jones

Owner

I am a pet owner and lover and have been for 40 years.  I have been taking care of others outside of my family for a long time.  I have had many types of pet from Goldfish to a donkey, and experience of various dog breeds from small to large, with a variety of personalities placid to challenging.

I am originally from North Wales and as it is well known the Welsh are really good at singing.   Last year I gave it a go and sang Karaoke with Barry from Eastenders on the stage.  We did 3 songs together and I was terrible, but had a great time. I have lived in East Northamptonshire for the past 4 years, moving up from Hertfordshire.

My career for the 20 years plus has been in the Educational Sector, being a Head Teacher for an independent school over 2 sites in Colindale and Edmonton NW London.  I was then head hunted by a talent scout and went on to become Head of Risk for a private equity Ed Tech company.  The corporate world has a shelf life and I needed to be in a space where I could give something back, something that I really had a passion for, and this is where Waggy Tail Blazers was born.

Sergio

The Dog

Super Sergio is our Romanian Rescue, he is a Miortic Sheepdog mix. We are unsure, what the mix is, as he was a street dog in Romania. Having lived this way of life for the first  18 months of his life, before being found and taken to JCDC dog charity. He was with them 6 weeks before coming to his forever home with us in East Northants.  Sergio came to live with us when he was 18 months after living on the street for the first part of his life.  He was a real challenge, but with compassion, love, and lots of patience he has blossomed into the beauty that we knew he always was.

Sergio was named after the football player,  Sergio Aguero who happened to score a few goals on the day he was rescued. His human dad insisted on the name remaining, being an avid Manchester City supporter for the past 30 years or so.

Lenny

The Cat

Lenny Cat is also a rescue (from Luton this time).  Lenny has lived with us after being discovered being shut in a garage for a month, initially in a very bad way and had no trust with humans at all.  When rescued Lenny became an internet sensation with lots of followers, he has now retired from public life, as he prefers to eat and sleep with the occasional pop out into the garden.
